Timeline of Major Prophetic Passages

(Note: Many of these events will happen simultaneously, so this is not exactly a flow chart. I have put them in the general order in which it appears they will occur. Those things that happen either simultaneously or at least close to one another will be grouped together by a dotted line. Even at that, it is still hard to get an exact timing for all of these events.)

  1. Satan sins and is cast out of the 3rd heaven with 1⁄3 of the angels. (Rev. 12:4-9, Luke 10:18, Is. 14:12-14, Ezek. 28:12-18)

  2. Satan still has access to come before the throne of God and accuse the brethren even though he and his angels do not live there. (Job 1:6-11, Zech. 3:1-2, Luke 22:31, Rev. 12:10)

  3. Times of the Gentiles begins with the Babylonian captivity (586 BC) and stretches until the 2nd coming of Christ. Signifies Gentile domination of the world. ( Dan. 2, 7; Luke 21:24) **NOTE: The Times of the Gentiles and the Fullness of the Gentiles are 2 separate things.

  4. 70 weeks (of Daniel) decreed for everything to take place prior to the 2nd coming of Christ. (Dan. 9:24-27) The prophetic timeclock begins when the decree is given to rebuild Jerusalem. There was to be 69 weeks between this beginning until the birth of Jesus in His 1st coming. **NOTE: From the time this decree was given until the birth of Christ was exactly 483 years (69 x 7 = 483). (Dan. 9:24-26, Neh. 2:1-8)

  5. We are currently living in the gap between the 69th and 70th week of Daniel. {The cutting off of the Messiah (Dan. 9:26) and the beginning of the 70th week (Dan. 9:27)}

  6. The birth of Jesus. (Luke 2:6-7, Luke 2:11, Matt. 1:22-23, John 1:14, Is. 9:6, Rev. 12:1-2, 5)

  7. The death of Jesus. (Matt. 27:50, Mark 15:37, Luke 23:46, John 19:30)

  8. Jesus is caught up to God. (Acts 1:9-11, Mark 16:19, Luke 24:51, 1 Tim. 3:16, John 6:62, Rev. 12:5)

  9. The Church Age begins. (Acts 1:4-5, Rev. 2-3) (We are currently living in a long gap between the 69th and 70th week of Daniel. Refer back to #5)

  10. Many false Christ’s will say “I am the Christ” and will mislead many. (Matt. 24:4-5, Matt. 24:23-27)

  11. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Nation will rise against nation, suggests that there will be global turmoil and political instability. False prophets will arise and mislead many. (Matt. 24:6-7, 11)

12. People who once loved one another will turn against each other because lawlessness will increase. (Matt. 24:9-12, Luke 21:12-17)
13. Believers in Christ will be persecuted. (Matt. 24:9, John 15:20, 2 Tim. 3:1-5, John 16:2)
14. The regathering of Jewish people back to the country of Israel (from the 4 corners of the earth.) (Is. 11:11-13, Is. 27:12-13, Ezek. 36:24, Jer. 16:14-15, Jer. 23:3-4, Ezek. 11:17-21, Ezek. 20:33-38, Ezek. 36:24-29, Micah 2:12-13, Amos 9:14-15) (This began 1 on May 14, 1948 when Israel once again became a nation and it will continue to happen until the tribulation period begins. All of the antisemitism will drive them back to their land. Israel will become a burdensome stone for the entire world. Zech. 12:3) Promise of Israel’s restoration in the end. (Ezek. 36:25-27, Jer. 31:33-34)

15. 70 weeks of Daniel began with the Babylonian captivity. After 62 weeks (434 years), the temple will be destroyed. The temple was destroyed in AD 70 exactly when Scripture said it would be. 16. Rapture of the Church occurs between Rev. 3-4. (1 Thess. 4:13-18, 2 Thess. 2:1, 1 Cor. 15:50-54) Fullness of the Gentiles, when the last convert gets saved prior to the rapture. (Rom. 11:25-27)

  1. Judgment Seat of Christ. (2 Cor. 5:10, Rom. 14:10-12)

  2. Marriage Supper of the Lamb - (Rev. 19:7-10)

  3. Gog and Magog War will be either before or after the rapture of the Church. (Ezek. 38-39)

  4. The 3rd Jewish temple will be rebuilt at some point prior to the 3 1⁄2 year mark of the tribulation. Could be built before or after the rapture of the Church. It has to be built prior to the events of Rev. 11. (Dan. 9:25-27, Dan. 11:31, Matt. 24:15, 2 Thess. 2:4, Rev. 11:1-2) —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  5. 7-sealed scroll is opened. (Rev. 5-6)

  6. Seal #1 - Antichrist confirms a peace covenant with Israel. (Dan. 9:27) Rider on the white horse (Rev. 6:2) brings in false peace to the world. This begins the 70th week of Daniel or the time we refer to as the tribulation.

  7. Ever since Satan was cast out of the 3rd heaven, he has been the prince of the power of the air meaning that he is in the atmosphere around the earth (1st heaven) and is in outer space (2nd heaven). (Eph. 2:2) When he falls from these places, he will only have access to the 1st heaven. (Rev. 12:7-9) —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

24. Seal #2 - Rider on the red horse brings war and removes peace from the earth. (Rev. 6:4)

  1. 144,000 Jewish witnesses are sealed. (Rev. 7:4-8)

  2. The Antichrist is transformed into the Beast from the earth. (Rev. 13:1)

  3. The Beast from the sea (the false prophet) emerges from the sea. (Rev. 13:11-14)

  4. Abomination of desolation occurs at the 3 1⁄2 year mark. (Dan. 9:27, Dan. 11:31, Dan. 12:11, Matt. 24:15, Mark 13:14)

29. The 2nd Beast/False Prophet gives breath to the image of the Beast and forces others to worship it. (Rev. 13:11-15) The man of lawlessness exalts himself as an object of worship. (2 Thess. 2:3-4)
30. The holy city of Jerusalem is trampled underfoot for 42 months. (Dan. 7:25, Rev. 11:1-2, Rev. 13:1-10)
31. The Beast forces anyone who wants to buy and sell to get the Mark of the Beast (666). NOTE: The seals are an overview of the rest of the book. Keep this in mind because this alone can cause a lot of confusion in regard to the timeline. (Rev. 13:16-18, Rev. 14:9-11)

32. Daily sacrifices in the temple stop. (Dan. 11:31, Dan. 12:11)
33. The woman (Israel) flees to the wilderness where God will protect them for the last 1260 days of the tribulation period. (Is. 63:1, Dan. 12:1, Matt. 24:15-20, Mark 13:14, Rev. 12:6-14)
34. Satan makes war with the rest of her children (remaining tribulation saints). The Beast from the abyss makes war with the saints for 42 months and wears them down. (Rev. 12:17; Rev. 13:1-10)
35. Time of distress for Israel. (Dan. 12:1, Rev. 12:6-13) Time, times, and 1⁄2 time til the end of these wonders. (Dan. 12:7)
36. 2 Jewish witnesses prophecy for 1260 days. They are given power to close up the heavens, devour their enemies with fire from their mouths, turn water into blood, and any other plague they want to inflict on the wicked earthdwellers. (Rev. 11:3-7)

  1. John is given a measuring rod and told to measure the temple (tribulation temple), the altar, and those who worship in it. (Rev. 11:4)

  2. Seal #3 - Rider on the black horse brings famine. (Rev. 6:5)

  3. Seal #4 - Rider on the pale horse brings death and hell followed after him. (Rev. 6:8)

  4. Seal #5 - The martyred souls under the altar cry out for vengeance. (Rev. 6:9-10)

    However, before this can happen, they must be martyred for their faith. Then, John sees the multitude from the nations, from every tongue, tribe and nation, standing before the throne of God. Those he sees in heaven are the tribulation martyrs. (Rev. 7:9-17)

41. Seal #6 - Great earthquake (#1) , the sun became black and the moon became blood and the stars fell from heaven. (Rev. 6:12-13) Heaven is rolled up as a scroll. (Rev. 6:14) Signs in the sun, moon, and stars. (Luke 21:25, Matt. 24:29)

42. Seal #7 is broken. Silence in heaven for 30 minutes. The opening of the 7th seal unleashes the 7 trumpets. (Rev. 8:1.)

43. Angel from heaven takes the censer from the heavenly altar and fills it with fire and throws it to the earth. Earthquake #2. (Rev. 8:3-5.)

44. 2 witnesses are killed and lie dead in the streets for 3 1⁄2 days. (Rev. 11:8)
45. 2 witnesses are resurrected and transported to heaven. (Rev. 11:11-12)
46. In that same hour, earthquake #3 happened. 1/10 of the city fell (7000) and the rest were terrified and gave glory to God. (Rev. 11:13) 47. The 2nd woe is past. (Rev. 11:14)

—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 48. Trumpet #1 - Hail and fire mixed with blood were thrown to the earth. 1⁄3 of the earth was burned up, 1⁄3 of the trees were burned up, and all of the green grass. (Rev. 8:7)
49. Trumpet #2 - Something like a great mountain was thrown into the sea and 1⁄3 of the sea became blood, 1⁄3 of the sea creatures died, and 1⁄3 of the ships were destroyed. (Rev. 8:8-9)
50. Trumpet #3 - A great star named Wormwood falls from the sky and destroys 1⁄3 of the streams and rivers and 1⁄3 of the waters become wormwood (poison) and many men will die. (Rev. 8:10-11)
51. Trumpet #4 - 1⁄3 of the sun, moon, and stars were struck and became dark and affected the daylight and the night time. (Rev. 8:12)
52. Angel who had the appearance of an eagle pronounced 3 woes because of the next 3 trumpets. (Rev. 8:13)

53. Trumpet #5 - A star/angel from heaven falls to the earth with the key to the bottomless pit and opens it unleashing a hoard of demon locusts with the sting of a scorpion and they were told not to harm any of the grass, trees, but only those who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were only permitted to torment, but not to kill the unrepentant earthdwellers for 5 months even though men were begging for death. (Rev. 9:1-11)

54. The 1st woe is past. (Rev. 9:12) —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

55. Trumpet #6 - The 4 angels who were bound at the Euphrates River are released and they kill 1⁄3 of mankind. **NOTE: These 4 angels are fallen angels. (Rev. 9:13-15)

56. Trumpet #7 sounds and the ark of the covenant in heaven is opened. (Rev. 11:19) 57. Armies from the East cross the Euphrates River (200 million horsemen) and 1⁄3 of mankind was killed by the fire, smoke, and brimstone that came out of their mouths.

(Rev. 9:16-18, Possibly corresponds with Rev. 16:12)
58. The angel with the little book comes down from heaven. (Rev. 10:1-2)
59. 7 peals of thunder say something, but John is not permitted to write it. (Rev. 10:3-4)

—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 60. Trumpet #7 - The angel pronounces that the mystery of God is finished. (Rev. 10:7) The sounding of the 7th trumpet unleashes the 7 bowls of wrath.
61. John is instructed to eat the little book and it tastes sweet as honey going down, but made his stomach bitter. (Rev. 10:9-10)
62. Angel in mid-heaven proclaims the eternal gospel to the ends of the earth. (Rev. 14:6-7, Matt. 24:14)
63. The Son of Man (Jesus) is sitting upon a cloud with a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. Another angel also had a sharp sickle in his hand to reap the earth and blood came up to the horse’s bridles for 200 miles. (Rev. 14:14-20)
64. Bowl #1 - Loathsome and malignant sores on those who had the mark of the Beast. (Rev. 16:2)
65. Bowl #2 - Poured out upon the sea and everything living in it died. (Rev. 16:3)
66. Bowl #3 - Poured into the streams and rivers and they turn to blood. (Rev. 16:4) 67. Bowl #4 - Poured upon the sun and it scorched men with fire and with fierce heat.

(Rev. 16:8-9)
68. Bowl #5 - Poured out upon the throne of the Beast, and his kingdom becomes dark and people gnawed their tongues because of pain. (Rev. 16:10) **NOTE: Also relates back to Bowl #1.
69. Bowl #6 - Euphrates River will be dried up and make way for the kings of the East to cross. (Rev. 16:12) **NOTE: The Tigres/Euphrates River system is facing severe depletion, with 2013 satellite data showing substantial freshwater loss and 2021 reports warning it could run dry by 2040. As water levels drop, ancient sites, caves, and ruins have been revealed, which some connect with the uncovering of secrets or forgotten places in prophecy.

70. Between the 6th and 7th Bowl, the armies of the world gather in Armagaddon for war. They are gathered by 3 unclean spirits coming out of the mouths of Satan/the Dragon, the Beast/Antichrist, and the False Prophet. (Rev. 16:13:16)

71. Bowl #7 - A voice comes out of the temple in heaven saying, “It is done”. Meteorological events occur along with earthquake #4. The city of Babylon is split into 3 parts. (Rev. 16:18-20.)

72. The fall of Babylon and the Beast system occurs and the merchants of the world are in deep grief. (Rev. 17-18)

73. The sun, moon, and stars go dark. (Matt. 24:29, Joel 2) —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

74. 2nd Coming of Christ. (Rev. 19:11-19, Luke 21:27, Dan. 7:13-14, Matt. 24:30)
75. God sends forth His angels to gather the elect from the 4 corners of the earth. (Matt. 24:31)
76. Jesus first goes to Bozra to rescue the 1⁄3 remnant. (Zech. 14:1-3) He treads the winepress (kills the armies who sought to kill His people), hence His blood-stained garments. (Is. 63:1-6, Jer. 49:13-22)
77. Jesus destroys His enemies with the breath of His mouth and a rod of iron. (Is. 11:4, Rev. 19:20, Rev. 19:15, 2 Thess. 2:8-10)
78. The Jewish people while elated, grieve bitterly when they realize who Jesus is and that they had rejected Him. (Zech. 12:10)
79. All Israel will be saved. (Ezek. 36, Zech. 13:1, Rom. 11:26-27) God had promised the restoration of Israel in Ezek. 36:25-27 and Jer. 31:33-34.

  1. Jesus arrives at the Mt. of Olives and when His feet touch the ground, the mountain splits. (Zech. 14:3-4)

  2. Jesus seizes the Beast and the False Prophet and they become the first occupants of the Lake of Fire. (Rev. 19:20-21)

82. Satan is bound and thrown in the abyss for 1000 years. (Rev. 20:1-3)
83. Judgment of the Nations/Sheep & Goats. (Matt. 25:31-46)
84. Millennial reign of Christ begins. Israel is restored. The Northern and Southern Kingdom are reunited. (Is. 2:4, Is. 9:6-7, Ps. 72:8, Ezek. 36:28, Ezek. 37:11-23, Micah 4:6-7, Ezek. 37:25, Zech. 14:9, Rev. 20:2-7)
85. During the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth, nature is returned to its original state and there is peace on earth. There will even be peace in the animal kingdom. (Is. 11:6-9, Is. 65:25, Hos. 2:18, Micah 4:3)
86. Satan is released at the end of the millennial reign of Christ to go out and deceive the nations. (Rev. 20:7-10)
87. Great White Throne Judgment for sinners. (Rev. 20:11-15)
88. New Heaven, New Earth, New Jerusalem. Eternity begins. ( Rev. 21-22)
