My name is Cindy Ketron, and if you’re reading this, welcome to my website! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a wife, mother, and grandmother. My grandchildren call me CeeCee which is the sweetest name I’ve ever been called!

In 1985, I graduated from the University of Tennessee (go Vols!) with a BS in social work. About a month later, I met my husband, Todd, at a Sunday School picnic. He declared his love for me 3 weeks later! Since my plan was already in motion to go to seminary, I left home 6 weeks after Todd and I met, to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX where I received a Master’s degree in Church Social Services.

After graduation, I married my red-haired sweetheart, and we moved to Washington, DC so that he could attend graduate school, and so that I could get my Master’s degree in social work. After I obtained my MSSW, I began working towards my state licensure. That is a long, hard process, but I accomplished it in record time!!

Over 30 years ago, I started counseling children. I’ve seen it all! After about 10 years of counseling children, I began counseling with the geriatric population as well. I always say that counseling young folks and old folks is very similar with the exception that the old folks are grateful.

After our first son, Gabriel was born in 1991, Todd and I moved back to Tennessee to be near family. We had another son, Colton, 5 years later. East Tennessee has been the best place in the world to raise our children. Just 2 short years after Colton’s birth, I started doing volunteer chaplaincy work and later received enough Continuing Pastoral Education credits to qualify me to work as a hospital chaplain. I worked as a chaplain for a short period of time at the Veterans Administration in East TN, but ultimately, decided to return to counseling. I’m also a certified Rule 31 TN Supreme Court Family Mediator.

In 2011, my then 19-year-old son, Gabriel, was diagnosed with brain cancer. My world turned upside down. Gabe and I moved to St. Jude in Memphis for almost a year so that he could undergo chemotherapy, radiation, and 4 stem cell transplants. Todd and Colton remained home so that Todd could work and Colton could go to high school. While Gabe was in treatment, I wrote a daily blog. When a local book editor was encouraged by a family member to read my blog and pray for my son, she reached out to me to ask if I would be interested in turning this blog into a book. Hence, in 2015, the book, Groanings (named after Rom. 8:26) was published.

By the way, Gabriel survived his bout with cancer and is still with us today!

Reading and studying the Bible has always been important to me. I’ve taught Sunday School, youth, and women’s Bible studies for many years. However, in 2015, I began writing and teaching the Bible studies I had written instead of teaching Bible studies that someone else had written. I ended up locating the primary site for my studies on a private Facebook page called, On the Edge of Eternity. When I met my dear friend, Cynthia Kidder, she offered to design and build my website. She volunteered her time (a lot of it!) to build this site including all of the graphics.

I believe that when we read Scripture, God not only blesses us, but He gives us landmarks to show us where we are on the prophetic calendar. My love for prophecy will be scattered throughout all of my blogs and studies. This is a beautiful website and I’m so thrilled that you are here to enjoy it and to learn about the great love that the Lord has for each of us.
