The next few chapters are all about boundaries and the division of the land. In a few short weeks, a new president will be elected. One of the hot topics of this election is on the issue of boundaries, specifically the southern border of the U.S. and all the borders of Israel. So what is a boundary anyway? A boundary is a line (sometimes invisible) where something stops and something else begins.

As a counselor, I have frequent discussions with people regarding boundaries. If an individual is in somebody else’s business and becomes controlling, we might say that person lacks appropriate boundaries. The boundary violator is an individual who will not stay in his or her own lane. Those are emotional boundaries. We are talking this week about physical, geographical boundaries. Israel has always had boundaries. Even heaven has boundaries. There are those allowed in and those who will never be allowed in. Boundaries are a good thing. God is the creator of boundaries.
