2 Thessalonians - Lesson 8
Excerpt
Grace and peace to you dear friends. Last week we learned the fate of those who are not children of the day. We learned that if they suppress God’s truth continually and do not honor Him and if they think they are wise in their own eyes, that God will eventually cover their eyes causing them to be delusional, or to think something is true when it is not. God allows them to be and to pursue those things that their hearts longed for anyway. Aren’t you glad that you are a child of the day?! Aren’t you glad that you were not meant for the wrath of God but for the glory of God?!
This week, we will finish up the book of 2 Thessalonians. It seems like this study has passed by us so quickly. I’m so grateful the 2 books of 1 and 2 Thessalonians were included in the Bible. We have been able to see the perseverance of the saints through these 2 books. And with the times in which we live today, we need to know of such perseverance because our lives on this earth might just get tougher before the Lord takes us home. Go ahead and read 2 Thess. 3:1-5. What 2 requests for prayer does Paul send to the church at Thessalonica?
