Habakkuk - Lesson 2

Before we dive into this lesson, let’s do a little bit of review regarding what we learned in the last lesson.
1.Habakkuk prophesied to the Southern Kingdom of Judah.
2.He was likely alive during some of Josiah’s reign, but his writing took place after Josiah died.
3.It was a heavy burden for him to carry the knowledge of the sins that his people had committed against God and he wondered why God was not doing anything about it.
4.God is getting ready to use an evil, pagan, nation to punish His own people.
But perhaps the biggest takeaway from last week’s lesson is this: THERE IS NO AUTHORITY THAT IS NOT UNDER GOD THE FATHER! If God is sovereign (in complete control of everything) then this must be the case.
