Genesis - Lesson 13
The book of Genesis has 50 chapters. We begin Chapter 16 this week and from here on, we’ll be covering more territory per lesson because the stories all start flowing together. I’ll bet you thought we were going to be in Genesis til the rapture! Well…..who knows, we might be! Here’s what we know so far:
The sadness of this picture is overwhelming to me. Can you imagine a young girl, away from her people and her home, being forced to sleep with an old man she did not love and bear his child? How alone Hagar must have felt. What did God tell Abram about an heir in Gen. 15:4?
Did God ever mention that He had an alternative other than Abram and Sarah?
Have you ever tried to outthink God? Trust me, He does not need our suggestions! He has a few options that we are never aware of. Sarai would discover this. Why did Sarai assume that the promised child could not come from her?
