Obadiah

Excerpt

Most believers in Christ, even those who have read through the Bible, couldn’t tell you one thing about  the book of Obadiah. It is this little obscure book tucked within the Old Testament that has some strange language and even stranger prophecies. In fact, it is the smallest book in the Old Testament. The name  Obadiah was fairly common in ancient Judah. Twelve other men in the OT had the same name. The  name Obadiah means, “the Lord’s servant” or “worshipper of Yahweh.” He is one of the 12 minor  prophets of the OT. Minor prophets were called such due to the length of their writings. Being a major  or a minor prophet had nothing to do with the importance of the work that was done by them as a  servant of God.
