We are getting ready to embark on an excing journey into the beginning of it all! We find the origin of so many things in this book. I hope that you’ve read through the enre book of Genesis already just to get an idea of the layout. It’s a long book and it is a connected story that helps us piece together many of the things we read in the New Testament. The creaon account in the book of Genesis has long been under scruny. When we get down to brass tacks, there’s really only 2 possible explanations, 2 world views:
Either the world just somehow formed itself from some kind of cosmic accident.
The world is the result of an intelligent design by an intelligent designer.
I don’t know about you, but to actually believe #1 to be true would take a whole lot more faith than #2. If you believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, #2 is the only choice to make. If you can’t choose #2, nothing else in the Bible will be reality for you.
